Being a parent has many added benes - above and beyond the whole loving the kiddo thing. Number one is having an excuse to be a kid again. Whether it's yummy snacks you otherwise have no excuse to eat or playing with toys you just can't buy for yourself when you're older than about 10. Don't let anyone tell you different. Parenting rocks.
